The Purple Ringer in Fort Myers has never sold and will never sell the chemically altered "herbal incenses" that people are smoking to get high. These products are not incense and for some people they are addictive and may induce seizures, hallucination, low body temperature, and elevated heart rates.
PARENTS!! As of this week we are getting reports of gas stations and convenience stores handing out free samples of these DRUGS to young men age 13-20. Please educate your teenagers so they know that these are not natural products and that there are counterfeit "name brands" out there. Read below for more information.

Wow, the sad stories about the synthetic cannabinoid drug-laced "incense" keep coming. We've met:
Please people, do your research about what you put in your body FIRST. While some people notice no ill effects, some definitely do. This is NOT a harmless substance... and for those shop owners selling it anyway "because it says not to consume it so they're stupid if they do not my fault"... Karma, baby. On the bright side, Purple Ringer Smoke Shop still sells the same LEGAL HERBAL ALTERNATIVE SMOKES that we've sold for the past 10 years. Mostly from International Oddities, these are blends of traditional plants that many of our customers find helpful to relax at the end of the day. We make it easy for you to try these no-nicotine, non-chemical plant smokes with affordable "sample size" bags. While not everyone likes it, many do and a sample size is the perfect way to find out.

Cigar Humidors
Purple Ringer smoke shop in Fort Myers stocks Cigar Humidors - a great gift for cigar smokers - and they're also handy to store your Roll-Your-Own Cigarette Tobacco.
Humidors are airtight wooden boxes lined with spanish cedar - an aromatic wood that is well-suited to the humid environment necessary to keep cigars fresh. We stock a variety of humidors from travel-sized boxes that hold 4-10 cigars to 50-count humidors.
Nicer humidors feature a hygrometer - a device that measures relative humidity inside the box. There are a variety of humidifying devices available, from Blimpies to moisture discs to pouches that can be refreshed with distilled water or a special solution. Prices range from $25 to over $100.

Purple Ringer Smoke Shop in Fort Myers Celebrates 15-year Anniversary!
The Purple Ringer is celebrating our 15th Anniversary during August, 2009. Just stop by the Purple Ringer - the Tobacco Shop with the Hippie Flavor - and let us know you saw this blog.
We'll toss you a free pack of rolling papers or Purple Ringer lighter through August 31, 2009. (Must be 18 with valid state or military photo ID or passport).
If you're new in town, or if it's been a while, definitely come check us out! We are one of the largest smoke shops in Florida (over 2200 square feet!). Located 100 feet north of the Edison Mall, 3915 Broadway Avenue, second building on the left (bright yellow) across from the old brick post office at the corner of Broadway and Winkler.
We have over 100 different rolling papers, lots of AMERICAN glass, hookah charcoal, hookahs & shisha, tobacco pipes, cigarette and pipe tobacco, ashtrays, Zippo lighters, cigarette cases, random stickers and magnets, Tshirts, tapestries, flags, hats... the list goes on. We get new items almost every week so stay in touch!
